Although commonly found in water, foods, and toothpaste, fluoride can be included in a six-month exam for an added layer of protection in between appointments.
Teeth grinding and clenching (bruxism) are often a sign of stress, a misaligned bite, or temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorder. Dr. Mahler can examine your mouth to determine if a customized nightguard will reduce worn-down tooth enamel and/or chronic jaw pain. If so, the device will be crafted using digital impressions so that it is comfortable to wear at night.
